The management of Live Oak Springs Water Company has recently applied to the California Public Utilities Commission for a rate increase. For the last two years the flat rate has been $43.01 this included the surcharge. The current rate without the surcharge is $30.27
The requested new rate is $51.38, an increase of $8.37 over the current rate. This is the rate for the water meter only, not for the water that is used. Most water customers in San Diego County have also experienced rate increases over the past two years.
